A new father in need of a new Kidney.

According to his wife, Anik Shrestha has a big belly and a big heart. So big that it’s started scratching at his kidneys for more room (not actually).  At 32, Anik is still young and just recently became a first time father and has plenty of life left in him with minimal other health issues. He’s what doctors call a “fantastic candidate” for a new kidney, but unfortunately his current ones are declining very rapidly. Anik needs a new kidney so that he’s able to share his big heart with his son born in June and be a more active father in his son’s life.

Anik has been fighting Chronic Kidney Disease with an unknown origin for the last two years. His doctors have ordered countless tests to figure out why his kidneys are failing, only to have them all come back negative for everything. Unfortunately in the last few months, Anik’s kidney function has dropped significantly and quickly (currently under 9%), leaving him in search for a new kidney. Anik has recently started dialysis, which was meant to be a last resort, but unfortunately he wouldn’t be able to survive without it. His nephrologist (kidney doctor) has recommended to get a live donor if possible, as it would give him the best chance of a longer life with his wife and newborn son.

Anik’s ideal match would be someone with type A or O blood type. But anyone is encouraged to apply as you can participate in an exchange program.

If you or anyone you know are willing to donate, please do not hesitate to reach out to Anik or his wife Alish. Contact us via email at: anik.alish.shrestha@gmail.com or by text +1(971) 506-3233. Or by clicking the “contact us” link below.

Kidney Transplant Testimonials

“Once I learned more about organ donation it wasn’t this mysterious thing, it was more like oh I could do this". & “The biggest factor for me was there was no change in quality of my life. I love basketball, food and cannabis. I am still able to do all of those and everything else I love after donation. This is not even considering giving someone an extra shot of life.”- Kevin Kuhl - Donated to a coworker.
